About Me
I am a highschool student from New York. During my volunteering at local senior facilities, i observed the struggle of patients and their caregivers in navigating the daily mundane tasks. For you and me, it is very simple to tie the shoes, button up our shirts or brush our teeth. But for people with Apraxia, the stuggle is real. They constantly find it hard or forget simple tasks.
I realized that there should be a better way to educate the patients and their caregivers to navigate the daily tasks together. So, i created posters listing the step by step instructions on how to tie shoes, brushing, using toilet, taking shower, etc.
I wanted to reach people across the country and the continents to educate and support everyone with similar needs. So, i founded ShoesOverSocks in 2025 to help seniors with apraxia maintain independence in daily activities.
I am currently testing these education materials at local facilities to measure their real-world effectiveness, and looking for volunteers from across the globe. You and i together can make the difference in the lives of millions of people. If you are interested in helping make a difference, reach out to me using the link here
