Volunteer Opportunities

Ready to lend a hand?

Why this matters?

Honestly, most people have never even heard of ideomotor apraxia. I didn’t either until I saw how much it affects people's everyday lives. Simple things like buttoning a shirt, using a fork, or brushing your teeth become really difficult when your brain can not send the right signals to your hands. It's frustrating for patients, and it's hard for caregivers too who are just trying to help their loved ones.

That's kind of why I started ShoesOverSocks. I wanted to do something about it, even if it's small and having volunteers makes that possible.

Anyone can join the ShoesOverSocks as volunteers. Whether you are a student trying to get volunteer hours, have a family member with apraxia or you are person who loves to do something meaninful. We welcome you and are grateful for your time and effort in making the world a better place.

Please complete the form below and we will be in touch soon. We will figure out together what works for you in terms of volunteering.
